On top of reducing our greenhouse gas emissions, we must also actively take up CO2 from the atmosphere. The latter is done by utilizing so-called “negative emission technologies”. In my research, I build biogeochemical models to quantify the global impact of one such negative emission technology, namely (coastal) enhanced silicate weathering.
